Senior Researcher

Nigel Williams

Senior FestIM Researcher Nigel Williams has joined Bournemouth University as a Senior Lecturer from the University of Bedfordshire. Nigel's background is in engineering and project management, he currently lectures on Masters and Undergraduate Programmes at Bournemouth University. When we recently spoke to him, Nigel outlined the key objectives of the festIM project:

1) Develop the Festival Impact Monitor tool.
2) Collect & analyse data whilst training students how to use the Festival Impact Monitor.
3) Teaching students outside of the project and the public how to use Festival Impact Monitor to assess their own events.

Social Media Team

Nisha Thakkar


Nisha Thakkar manages the festIM social media channels and will be keeping you updated with the festIM goings on. Nisha is very excited to be part of the project and has said 'I am really looking forward to be working with the Festival Impact Monitor researchers in the near future to share the progress of the project.' Nisha joins festIM in her final year of studying Events & Leisure Marketing at Bournemouth University, with a great deal of experience working in marketing and media, she will be an asset to our team.

Courtney Lee

You may have previously read on the BU Research Blog Courtney Lee was appointed the Social Media Manager for festIM, since then she have been busy creating festIM's social media channels and making some exciting plans. Like Nisha, Courtney is also a final year Event & Leisure Marketing Student at Bournemouth University. In the past Courtney has worked in Marketing for Hong Kong Tourism Board gaining experience which she is looking forward to put into practice in this role.
